Humboldt Room Local History Collection


This reference collection is located on the second floor of the Eureka Main Library. Here you will find a unique assortment of documents and materials that tell you about the history of Humboldt County and the surrounding area.

The Humboldt Historian

The Humboldt County Historical Society publishes a journal that delves into local history, the Humboldt Historian. Recent editions are available online (membership fee required).  Older editions are indexed, and copies of the Historian and its index are located here in the Humboldt Room. The index can also be searched online using the California State Library Information File II - just type Humboldt Historian and your topic in the search box.
