Localized Funding
The County of Humboldt Economic Development team administers and supports competitive grant programs that advance the local economy, increase workforce opportunity and community resilience. These programs are primarily delivered through the County’s Headwaters Fund, but also include industry targeted grant offerings such as Project Trellis, subject to available funding and program guidelines.
Project Trellis supports businesses owners who faced negative effects related to the prohibition of cannabis, enter and remain in the legal cannabis market. The Headwaters Fund grant programs may also support planning, capacity building, innovation, workforce initiatives, and community-based economic development projects aligned with County priorities and the Humboldt County Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy.
Interested in grant funding or project support?
We encourage early outreach to discuss program fit, timing, and whether a proposed project may align with available grant programs or County priorities.
