Workplace Connection Groups (WCGs) help the County of Humboldt achieve its strategic goal of Workforce and Operational Excellence.
Open to all employees, these groups nurture a sense of belonging, expand professional development opportunities, support engagement, and cultivate cross-departmental relationships.
Any employee can also initiate a WCG around a valid organizational purpose, such as a role, skill (e.g., Toastmasters), shared interest, or protected class. This directly addresses the employee-identified need to connect with colleagues to further their development as public servants
