Environmental Cleanup & Restoration

The County of Humboldt maintains a revolving loan fund to assist property owners in addressing environmental contamination, restoration and brownfield sites. A brownfield is a property with the presence of any hazardous substances, pollutants, or contaminants which make it unsafe for expansion, redevelopment, or reuse. The County has funding to address contaminated sites. Historic renovations are also possible with these funds if the site contains hazardous materials.

Contact the County's Program Coordinator for more information at jmoredo2@co.humboldt.ca.us.

Administrative Records on current cleanup projects are available to review in person at the Planning & Building Department.
