“The Lost Coast” highlights the striking geography of Northern California’s remote coastline. In the painting, rolling dunes and golden hills stretch toward the Pacific Ocean, while clusters of pine forests rise sharply against the sky. A winding river meets the sea, and wildflowers bloom in the foreground. The expansive scale of the painting (8 feet by 12 feet) enhances the sense of space and grandeur associated with this untouched landscape.
