Asset Forfeiture Special Fund Application - Request for Funding
All applications must be submitted by 5pm on December 31 of the present year for consideration. Applications submitted after this time will not be reviewed.

Relationship with the Humboldt County District Attorney’s Office
The Northern California Coalition to Safeguard Communities partners closely with the Humboldt County District Attorney’s Office to coordinate investigations, support prosecutions, and connect victims to legal and social services. The coalition provides a regional hub for information-sharing, joint training, and rapid referral pathways so that the DA’s office can more effectively investigate labor and human trafficking cases and secure justice for survivors.
Mission and Goals
To prevent labor and human trafficking across Northern California, protect and empower survivors, and strengthen cross-jurisdictional prosecution and prevention efforts.
Goals:
- Improve victim safety and access to services by linking survivors with shelter, medical care, advocacy, and legal aid.
- Enhance investigations and prosecutions through coordinated intelligence-sharing, joint protocols, and training for prosecutors, law enforcement, and service providers.
- Raise public awareness and prevention with community outreach, education campaigns, and a centralized resource platform.
- Build regional capacity by pooling resources across counties to ensure consistent, trauma-informed responses and to reduce gaps in services and enforcement.
