Campaign Finance (FPPC)

Pursuant to the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC), the Humboldt County Office of Elections is the filing officer for the County of Humboldt. Beginning January 1, 2021, AB 2151 requires local government agencies to post redacted campaign statements and reports to its website within 72 hours of filing deadlines if the campaign statements and reports are filed in paper format.

Form 700

The Form 700 Statement of Economic Interests is to be filed by all school and special district board members and elected County officials. Assuming and Leaving Office Forms 700 are due within 30 days of assuming or leaving office and Annual Forms 700 are due April 1st of each year. Failure to file on time will result in a fine and non-filers will be referred to the FPPC.

The Humboldt County Office of Elections now employs a digital filing system called eDisclosure. This program allows filers to complete and submit their Form 700 electronically in the privacy of their own personal secured filing area.
