Community Collaboration

Community partners from multiple sectors work together to increase the collective impact through involvement in key coalitions including Suicide Prevention Network, the Domestic Violence Prevention Committee and Child Abuse Prevention Coordinating Council.

Suicide Prevention Network

The Suicide Prevention Network (SPN) is a group of public and private individuals, agencies and groups working to identify strategies to reduce suicide and suicidal behaviors in Humboldt County.   The YSP is a subcommittee of the Humboldt Suicide Prevention Network. This is a coalition devoted to youth suicide prevention through networking and learning how we, as a community, can support youth in building a more caring world around mental health.

Domestic Violence Prevention Committee

The Domestic Violence Prevention Committee (DVPC) is a collaboration between educators, advocates, service providers, and community members who are committed to constant and coordinated countywide domestic violence prevention and response efforts.
