The Humboldt County Department of Public Works is in the process of preparing to conduct repair work on Maple Creek Road.

Maple Creek Road is currently closed due to storm damage occurring 7 miles from Blue Lake at mile marker 6.4. 

Maple Creek Road will remain closed for the safety of the traveling public until these repairs are completed. There is no current estimated time of reopening.

Repair work will involve sinkhole repairs and culvert replacement. Engineers are currently on-site assessing conditions, and repair efforts are actively underway to restore safe travel through the area.

While Maple Creek Road is closed, community members should access Maple Creek via Butler Valley Road.

Travelers are asked to drive slowly and follow all traffic control devices and road closure signs in the project area. Thank you for your patience while repair work is in progress.

Humboldt County roads need a lot of work and Humboldt County Public Works acknowledges residents may encounter a maintenance issue on a county-maintained road. Community members are encouraged to submit a service request if they experience a maintenance issue. A request for service on a county road may be submitted to the Public Works Department’s Roads Division by calling 707-445-7421 or placing a request for service online.
