Caltrans has contacted the County regarding proposed improvements to US 101 where it intersects Big Lagoon Park Road. Caltrans is proposing to add a dedicated left turn lane from north bound US 101 onto Big Lagoon Park Road. This would be accomplished by reducing the number of northbound through traffic lanes from 2 to 1 for approximately 1,000 feet. The project also includes an acceleration/merge lane to aid traffic turning left onto north-bound US 101 from Big Lagoon Park Road. See County website: https://humboldtgov.org/2839
