On the evening of July 20, 2022, a Humboldt County Sheriff’s Field Training Officer and a deputy sheriff undergoing field training were involved in a deputy involved shooting in the Eureka area. When we have a critical incident, we want to release as much information as possible as soon as the investigation allows. Today we are able to share with our community a Critical Incident Video, which includes body-worn camera video from this incident.
